He was also a member of the Greater Cleveland Council of Churches and a director of its Metropolitan Affairs Commission, and the United Presbyterian Church's Synod of Ohio Evangelism and Social Witness and the Commission on Religion and Race. Bruch was also a member of the Fenn College Board of Trustees at the time it was incorporated into Cleveland State University.
